Design is the creation of an expression of experience. The experience can be anything associated with our senses—sight, sound, taste, touch, smell. The most powerful design extends beyond those external senses to subconscious levels of our human experience. Design speaks to us, it engages us.
There are many disciplines and practices of design. These disciplines and practices involve knowledge, aspects of science and art, and a respect of craft.
Design reaches across all areas of life, professional and personal, in work and in play, in our awareness and our choices of action.
